IOL HAT Application Software
The add-on for quick solution implementation: IODD Handling, a testing and configuration web interface, and Node-RED Integration
The IOL HAT Application software is a software layer between the raw data (bytestream) of the IOL Master Application (available on GitHub) and Node-RED and JSON/REST interface. Our IOL HAT Application software is based on the proven Pinebox technology.
- User-friendly, integrated web interface
- Comprehensive parameterization and configuration of IO-Link devices via web interface
- Import of IODD files for quick device setup via web interface
- Generation of device-specific Node-RED nodes for fast Node-RED integration (based on the IODD device description file)
- Processing of data via up to 2 IO-Link connections of the IOL HAT
- Data access (read and write) via Node-RED or JSON/REST interface

Benefits
- Fast implementation of IO-Link solutions with Node-RED as with the Pinebox, as demonstrated in our sensor-to-MQTT setup on YouTube.
- Automatic processing of IODD data, no data sheet required for integration
- Quick testing and configuration possible via the web interface
- Professional functionality at an affordable price
Compatibility
- Specially designed for IOL HAT from Pinetek Network (supports 2 IOL ports)
- Compatible with Raspberry Pi running Raspberry OS Bookworm (other os on request)
- Supports industry-standard IO-Link devices with IODD 1.1
- Node-RED configuration requires user setup but offers extensive customization options.
- In comparison to the Pinebox functions, some specific features, like device reset or IP configuration, are not available in the IOL HAT Application software
